Installing Uplink into Salesforce

Before installing Uplink into your Salesforce instance, you will first need to have an Uplink account. If you need an Uplink account, please contact us.
  1. Install the Uplink package to your Salesforce instance.
  2. Select the users you would like to install the package for.
  3. Once the package has installed, navigate to “Custom Settings” in the Salesforce Setup Menu.
  4. Find "Uplink" and click “Manage”.
  5. Select “New” to connect Uplink to a profile or user. Then, enter the Uplink Authorization Token and the Uplink Organization Name. This information can be found on the Plan Tab in your Uplink org.
  6. Once this is done, you can continue to add Uplink to the Lead and Contact objects.
    1. Adding Uplink to Salesforce Lighting: Uplink can be added to Lightning record pages by adding UplinkInfo and UplinkMessages Lightning Components to the desired layout.
    2. Adding Uplink to Salesforce Classic: Uplink can be added to Salesforce Classic by adding the UplinkInfo and UplinkMessages visualforce pages to the layout.
    3. Adding Uplink to the Salesforce Mobile App: Uplink can be added to the Salesforce Mobile App by adding the Uplink button to the page layout in the “Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions” section.
